Be part of this celebration, which is possible because of you. Don't let the thoughtlesness of others run you off." He seemed so sincere. And then he started dancing with her again, and it was more natural and nice. "I'm hiding behind you. I knew you were the only person who might dance with me..and my grannie used to say that a girl should always dance at least once at a party, even the girls that weren't pretty." It was very nice to be dancing with someone, who once he had relaxed, had a clue how to dance. As they spun around the room, she laughed at his jokes. She could tell that he didn't really care about her, and once someone else had walked in, his eye was drawn to her. "A girl can take a hint." She said, hugging him and stepping back. "Thanks for the dance, Captain. Go get her." And she giggled as she walked back over to the refreshment table. She could see the looks that people kept giving her, but she shook her head and stood on the side watching people dance. Some nervous ensign got up the courage to ask her,and then chaos broke out. She backed off the dance floor as the teddy bear that was the CEO went running through the room with a crazed klingon in pursuit. She thought that right as that happened, someone else had antagonized a new marine and gotten him arrested. She sighed..this could not have been what Devan meant when he said he wanted a 'swill'. She quickly moved over to the shivering teddy bear. She knelt beside him. "Are you ok? Did he hurt you?" She asked, glaring at the klingon. "There is something that you have not said that is bothering you. I will know of it now." Onyx looked at him. ~Hadn't change one bit.~ “Why would I go and tell you K'Ven... my bother can be private and have no incident on you.” But before he could reply, Zzt decided to present himself. "Hi," Zzt said, "me Zzt. Who you? You new." Zzt smiled, barring his large fangs. Onyx didn't have time to react to K'Ven's reaction. "I am Sogh Suti K'ven, from the house of T'laK, retreat or die." K'ven roared. Purely on reflex, Zzt tossed the tossed the punch bowl at the raving Klingon drenching him in punch. Then Zzt smacked the tiny claw from the Klingon's hand sending it flying across the room to clatter on the floor. Then Zzt turned and ran, screaming away from the drenched Klingon with the punch bowl still on his head. People screamed and dove for cover as Zzt ran across the room, sure the crazy klingon was chasing him. As Zzt approached the doors to 10 Forward they opened and Tagon walked in. Zzt grabbed the giant Brikar and lifted him off the floor and turned back toward the mad Klingon using Tagon as a shield. "SAVE ZZT!" He cried, "CRAZY KLINGON WANT HURT ZZT!" Zzt peeked over Tagon's shoulder to see where the mad Klingon was now. "Lt, if you would unhand me, I will handle this." Said Tagon. His eyes narrowed to slits and he looked harshly at the Klingon. "Cease and desist this action." "Whatever" K'ven replied and returned to his conversation with Onyx after retrieving his DaqTag. Onyx look at him hard. “Zzt is the Chief Engineer Officer and he is a Gerratlian, they look like a bear. You should keep your cool. He had finally decided it was in his best interest to make a show, then he could leave without anyone noticing. Of course, he wasn't thinking of the likeliehood of an eight foot rock leaving unnoticed. As the door to 10 forward opened something happened that Tagon did not expect. He was met by the sound of screaming and suddenly he was hefted from the floor. There are few things in the universe that could do such a thing, and even fewer on the Nimitz. However, the one thing that could was the Gerratlian, Lt. Zzt. "SAVE ZZT!" the Gerratlian cried, "CRAZY KLINGON WANT HURT ZZT!" Tagon looked up to see a frenzied Klingon, who appeared to be soaked in bright red liquid and a bowl on his head. K'ven was heading right for Zzt, as if he intended to go through Tagon. "Lt, if you would unhand me, I will handle this." He thudded to the floor and Zzt let him drop. Fortunately he dropped to his feet. Anything else might have proved disasterous. Now steady on the hull floor he was ready to meet this new threat. His eyes narrowed to slits and he looked harshly at the Klingon. "Cease and desist this action." K'ven looked at what looked to be more of a mountain than a man, thought for a minute then smiled at him. "Whatever" K'ven replied and returned to his conversation with Onyx after retrieving his DaqTag. Tagon watched, with mild disappointment, as the Klingon turned his backon the situation. "Bad thing about my species we cant get drunk," “Keep forgetting about that... come on, let's make people talk around here or confirm what they are thinking.” She took him by the hand and they walk to the dance floor, for now there was a slow. Edward followed her and then whispered in her ear. "How come you never changed your name to Gideon?" Holding him close has they dance, she thought about the answer, actually there wasn't any on the top of her head. “I don't know why honestly!” She whispered back. "I was thinking, since i was officially dead for a while. It might be a tad forward but i would like to remarry you," Edward stated it had been preying on his mind some what. Onyx backed her head to better look at Edward's face, and even more so his eyes. “Are you sure... you do remember my character?” "Of course i do, i just miss how things used to be well except for all the sneaking around. I've never really had a family and i want one again," “We didn't even took the time to tell the Captain about us, but he isn't blind and he must see but... Family? You want one.” She look at him again. ~Going from surprises to surprises.~ She thought. "Of course i want one, i mean as long as they look like me," Edward stated grinning. “We never had talked about that... actually I had promise myself to talk to you of it when you would have come back from that mission, but then everything went south.” She whispered as she look around wondering if others were listening. "Well I have 3 simple desires at the moment, 1 Marry you again, 2 Have children at some point and finally get bigger quarters," Edward stated winking “So there is a few things to be done right now.” She smiled. ~Damn... my heart is going to explode, it's beating so fast.~ She thought taking a deep breath to calm it. "Well right now we have a good time, tomorrow i shall go see the Captain explain our history to him and ask permission to remarry you," Edward stated once more characteristically winking. “Are you sure you don't want to tell him right now?” She was holding him tighter. "Hum suppose i could tell him, possibly not right now. I haven't seen you for ohh 2 hours don't fancy running off quite yet," “An entire 2 hrs we didn't see each other. Hope it continues to play slow music. I like to much where I am right now.” She had a corner smile on her face. "Nothing lasts forever unfortunately," Edward stated stroking her back, "Its nice to not have to fight any one at the moment, i think I'm getting too old now," “I know... I don't like to fight anyone unless I have too.” she rubbed his back. "I think this might be my last tour of duty, after this i might settle down. Maybe get a farm," Edward stated grinning attempting to imagine his life any where but on a starship. “I don't see myself there... so don't joke!” "Ahh maybe not, none of us are getting any younger soon we will have to deal with the issue what the hell do we do after this civil war. We are not exactly going to be welcome on earth after all of this," “No one can be sure of anything Edward... we can only live in the moment and not think of the future. Well, at the exception of ours.” She put her head on his chest knowing full well that people were looking at her and talking. “Well, we done it... they all know now from the look of it.” "Well who cares, I've hid away for too long now," Edward stated slowly moving his hands up and kissing her on the lips. “That's nice... repeat it again and that will make the scandal of the week. I think it's the first time they see me with someone.” She smiled. "Ahh scandal i do not enjoy. I just want to be with my loved one," Edward gave her another kiss and then smiled. "I'm the luckiest man of the fleet," “Of that point... I do agree with that... You are a lucky man!” She pulled her tongue at him and had a big smile after. "With that in mind I'm going to speak to Sash," “That is an excellent idea since he is looking at us and smiling.” Edward gave her another kiss on her forehead and then moved off in the direction of the Captain. Paul could only guess that it had something to do with K'Ven and sighed. ~This is certainly a busy place... I hope we don't spend so much time fighting amongst ourselves that we don't get anything done.~ Whatever the disturbance was seemed to be ending. As Paul glanced over to K'Ven he saw the bear close at hand and a few other officers talking soothingly to it and angrily at K'Ven. The Klingon, for the most part, seemed indifferent... the bear on the other hand looked upset... not angry upset, emotionally hurt upset. Weird. Paul hated "lookeeloos" himself and decided to steer clear of the bear and the Klingon. That sounded like the set up of another joke... ~A bear and a Klingon walk into a bar...~ Paul grinned and shook the thought out of his head and continued to scan the crowd. Eventually he noticed the captain and walked casually over to him. "Not to interrupt Captain, but about that question you asked me before... With the next step he made, steam came right to his face, making him roll out of the way to prevent injury. In that short time of confusion, and arm was swong around him, just the same as the drunk marine did... Only, it was not human, not Klingon... not even organic. Getting up, he walked behind her and as he got to the bar he got one of the towels to wipe himself down a bit. "Like you said to me before... Here it is different, with different ways of doing things. Zzt is courages, he affronted a big animal that could have killed five or six children on Betazed when we were camping. Maybe you think that everyone here is lay back and sheeps but we are far from it, we are aware of what is going on, but here we are among friends." "Dor-sho-gha!" Onyx look around, they were a bit secluded from everyone, so she grab part of the uniform of K'Ven and push him to the side against the wall and straighten his uniform. "The fact is I know Gideon very well, and I was a bit upset that he didn't tell me about my father. Him and I clean the air. That was what bothered me K'Ven." "If that was all, sister, then why you did not answer me when I required an answer?" K'ven growled his reply as he looked into her eyes. He was not totally convinced that was all it was, but, if she persisted with this answe r he would have to take it at her word. But, then there was K'ven he could possibly beat the answer out of. "I am not obligated to tell you or anyone my own personal feelings, the matter is solved. There was also the matter of you and him having it out, but I guess you arrived to a middle ground. So that also is a weight off my mind." Onyx held his stare with just as much determination. K'ven was not happy with her answer as now he felt that she did not trust her friend and protector. He stepped in front of Gideon and put his hand out to stop him which also stopped Onyx. "Veqlargh" (devil, demon) he growled "to think that a taHqeq tahkeck (dishonest/dishonorable, evil, obnoxious, devious, deceitful, and basically an unpleasant creature to deal with at all) as you would be good enough for her!" K'ven snarled it all at Gideon ignoring everyone that was in the room, hoping that he would react. (reply Gideon, Onyx, Sash and anyone else that wants to) (posted by Frank) Stardate:2406.10.29 (USS Nimitz - Ten Forward - chief TAC Ensign Kateb - 2130) Onyx was surprised to see K'Ven and yet she wasn't, she also could smell that he drank a lot. "Veqlargh" this one growled "to think that a taHqeq tahkeck as you would be good enough for her!" K'ven snarled it all at Gideon. Gideon seem not surprise, but for Onyx it touch that part of her that she didn't like a lot. “sohchech... qoH! (You drunk... fool)” Onyx passed in front of Gideon. “You have no business in my affairs K'Ven... this is where I draw the line. I got the right to do anything I want, where I want and who I want to be with. Do you understand that? SohbewIjvav K'Ven(you are not my father K'Ven).” There was such silence all around them that they could have heard a fly buzzing around if there had been any. (Reply from K'Ven, anyone) (Posted by Laurence)
